Not receiving emails? Nine times out of ten, our emails are successfully sent and delivered. If you’re not seeing them, it’s often a matter of locating them within your email provider. Here’s how you can do that:

  1. Check Spam and Other Folders (e.g., “Promotions”, “Updates”, “Junk” or “Social”)
    • Log in to your email account.
    • Look for a folder named “Spam” or “Junk” in the sidebar.
    • Open this folder and see if the email landed there.
    • If found, mark the email as “Not Spam” to ensure future emails land in your inbox.

If not found in Spam, also check:

    • Folders like “Promotions”, “Updates”, “Junk” or “Social”.
    • Browse through these folders to see if our emails are there. Once found, move them to your inbox.
  2. Add ‘info@geertjecouwenbergh.com‘ to Your Safe List
    • Add us to your safe sender list by adding our email address (info@geertjecouwenbergh.com) to your contacts or safe senders list. This process varies by email provider, so search for instructions specific to your provider (e.g., Outlook, Gmail). For Hotmail or Live, follow the steps below.
  3. Using a Hotmail or Live Address? Pay Attention to This
    • Junk Mail vs. Spam: Hotmail and Live addresses often place emails in a ‘Junk Mail’ folder instead of Spam.
    • Add ‘info@geertjecouwenbergh.com‘ to Safe Senders List in Hotmail/Live:
      1. Sign in to your Hotmail account.
      2. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner and select ‘More email settings’.
      3. Under ‘Preventing junk email’, click ‘Safe and blocked senders’.
      4. Click ‘Safe senders’.
      5. Type ‘info@geertjecouwenbergh.com‘ in the ‘Safe senders’ list.
      6. Click ‘Add to list’.

After doing this, Hotmail will no longer treat our emails as spam and will deliver them to your inbox.

  4. Search for My Emails
    • Use the search function in your email program with the following query: in:anywhere {writing prompt day}. This should help you locate our emails even if they’ve ended up in a different folder.

We hope these steps help you receive our emails in your inbox. If you’re still experiencing issues, please don’t hesitate to send us a message. My assistant, Mireille, is here to help! Please note that resending the emails won’t solve the issue. If the emails are being delivered to your mailbox, it’s up to you to locate them.
